For dancers looking to work with me, I can help you in two ways: 

  • Acting performance within choreography, helping you strengthen your ability to connect with and have impact on your audience. We do this through exploring authentic expression, crafting relationship, clarifying story, and addressing any blocks you might have in and around this crucial and often overlooked aspect of dance performance. 

  • Teaching you acting, for on-camera work (Film&TV/Commercial), as well as stage.  

As a dancer it’s useful for you to understand how your dance experience can be both an asset and a liability. We can look at auditions, self-taping, on-camera technique, scene and character work, and more.  This work can introduce you to what it means and how to go about becoming an actor, all while helping you find tools to support you working in this area.

Helping actors to explore how physical practice and exploration can inform acting and help you embody your work. Exploring the actors body in space, connecting to your sensing and physical expression, and being present in the somatic experience in your work.

  • Geared towards post-secondary and conservatory acting programs, or a group of actors looking to explore movement based acting techniques.

    These are movement workshops for actors to explore embodiment, and how physical expression can inform and craft performance. 

    Techniques inspiring this work include: Stella Adler, Checkov, Uta Hagan, Spacial Dynamics, Butoh, Laban-Malmgren, and Energetics.
